Tomorrow is not only the first day of New York Fashion Week, it's also the day when H&M's long awaited Paris Show Collection becomes available in stores worldwide. If you're an early bird, then you already have your favorite pieces coming to your doorstep via H&M's online store, but for those who love the tactile experience with clothes before they purchase them, I've got you covered.
Here are 15 of my favorite pieces:
Eveningwear
The Paris Show Collection was made with eveningwear as the main idea in the design team's mind, so naturally, they have offered some truly stunning pieces. If you want to be totally fashionable, you'll definitely pick the red chiffon stunner for your own take on the underwear-as-outerwear trend. Black embellished pieces such as the long sleeve, high neckline dress and harem pants are great for an understated, yet sexy New Year's Eve (if you're able to keep them intact for so long). Ultimate cool girls will surely go for the asymmetric nude embellished dress and/or the textured black mini skirt for a Balmain-for-less feel.
Outerwear
My absolute favorite part of this collection is the outerwear because I find it to be full of true investment pieces. Just take a look at the minimalistic double breasted coats (with or without sleeves, your choice) that will get you through many falls and winters, while never losing the restrained, yet artistic feel brought to everyone's attention by Raf Simons of Christian Dior. If you're not a minimalist at heart, H&M has a few amazing choices in the form of an uber luxe faux fur coat that evokes the best street style seen on Kate Moss and a stunning embroidered cape for a modern Hermione Granger feel.
Day-to-Day
I'm always in favor of wearing luxurious pieces day-to-day, so I obviously couldn't help but notice this richly decorated velvet jacket and leather (not pleather, mind you) biker pants. This combo is a perfect storm of cool, comfortable and rock'n'roll.
Accessories
No outfit is complete without great accessories, and judging by these, women will have no problem complementing every single look they come up with. These low-heeled leather shoes are gorgeous in every way - color, cut and quality. What they remind me of the most is the subdued, yet still palpable luxury presented season after season by The Row. This black shoulder bag adorned with various metals is a perfect addition to any woman's wardrobe, as is this statement necklace. I'm not really sure why I chose this bib thingy, but I guess I feel that you can just throw it over a white tee and blue jeans and you're bound to turn more than a few heads.
